The Melissa ISD drive-thru COVID-19 testing site will be closed on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Monday, Jan. 17. The drive-thru testing window is 7:15 – 10:15 a.m. on days that school is in session. For our scheduled Teacher Work Day on Tuesday, Jan. 18, the drive-thru testing window will move to 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Drive-thru testing is now only available by text appointment. The Melissa High School musical theatre classes will present the Cardinal Cabaret on Tuesday, Feb. 1 at 7:00 p.m. at the Melissa Arts Center, featuring an evening of song and dance as students perform group numbers and solos. 🎭🎶🎤 Admission is free. We hope to see you there!

Effective Dec. 15, 2021, the Melissa ISD Onsite COVID-19 Testing Program is on pause as we transition to using a new testing manufacturer. We expect to resume onsite COVID-19 testing in mid-January; at that time, we will send updated information to parents/guardians and staff. Updates will also be posted online at www.melissaisd.org/covidtesting. (Note: Please do not send your student to school if they are ill. Proof of a COVID-19 test from a local provider - whether the test result is positive or negative - can serve as documentation for a student’s medically-excused absence.)

The Melissa High School robotics team will compete in the UIL BEST Robotics state tournament from Dec. 3-4, 2021 at the Comerica Center in Frisco. The tournament begins Friday, Dec. 3 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. with booth/presentation judging and seeding matches. The competition continues Saturday, Dec. 4 from 8:00 a.m. - 5:15 p.m. with opening ceremonies, booth/presentation judging, championship matches, and awards ceremony.
