2 p.m. - Due to potentially severe weather conditions in North Texas on Friday, the Melissa vs. Hallsville area volleyball playoff has been postponed and will now be played at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022.
11:45 a.m. - Melissa ISD is aware of the predicted severe weather forecast for this afternoon, Friday, Nov. 4, 2022, which could include heavy rain and thunderstorms around the time of school dismissal. At this time, it does not feel like Melissa ISD will have an early release today. However, all elementary schools will follow their inclement weather dismissal procedures, and we do anticipate that many of our afternoon bus routes will experience delays, depending on when/if the severe weather arrives.
