Join us for food, fun, and spirit at Meet the Cardinals on Thursday, Aug. 14, 2025, at Coach Kenny Deel Stadium! Gates open at 6 p.m. with the festivities starting at 6:30 p.m. The event features an introduction to our Cardinal athletic teams, cheerleaders, fine arts groups, and various student organizations, followed by student competitions, meet-and-greets, photo ops, and autograph signings.

The honors keep rolling in for our back-to-back 5A State Champion Lady Cardinals! The Mighty Cardinal Band will be featured in a special WFAA broadcast tonight as part of the Friday Night Football Marching Band Special, showcasing performances from across the 2024 season. The broadcast will include a rebroadcast of the Mighty Cardinal Band’s 2024 marching show, Pop Up. Tune in at 7 p.m. on the WFAA+ streaming app to celebrate the talent and hard work of our Melissa Band program! 🎺🎶

The Melissa High School musical theatre classes will present the Cardinal Cabaret on Thursday, April 17 at the Melissa Arts Center, featuring an evening of group numbers and solos. The performances will begin at 7:00 p.m. Admission is free. We hope to see you there!

Thanks to the incredible support from the Melissa community during the Wipe Out Kids Cancer Football Classic that took place on August 31, enough funds were raised to supply pediatric cancer patients and their families with Buddy Bags at Medical City Children's Hospital for a full year. These bags provide essential items for families facing hospital stays following a cancer diagnosis.
