WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 19

Melissa High School’s 2018 Homecoming football game is Thursday, Sept. 20 at Cardinal Stadium where the Melissa Cardinals will face the Trinity Christian Cedar Hill Tigers.

On Wednesday, Sept. 19, join us for the second annual Melissa Homecoming Celebration. Community events include tailgating, a Homecoming Parade, and a pep rally. See the details below!

 

TAILGATING

Wed, Sept. 19 @ 5:00 PM

The community is invited to TAILGATE prior to the parade! The designated tailgating area is located north of Melissa Middle School on the east side of Cardinal Drive, up to Bexar Ave.

The community may begin tailgating no earlier than 5:00 p.m. Tailgating spots are on a first-come, first-served basis.

HOMECOMING PARADE

Wed, Sept. 19 @ 6:30 PM

After tailgating, watch Melissa’s 2018 HOMECOMING PARADE, or join the parade with a float of your own!

Businesses, organizations, and clubs are invited to register a float for the parade. The top three decorated floats win a prize! This year’s Parade Theme is “Tame the Tigers!”.

The parade will begin at the intersection of Cardinal Drive and Haskell, continue northeast on Cardinal, turn right onto Scott, left onto Barker, left onto Surrey, left onto Cardinal, and end in front of the middle school at Haskell.

Approximate parade distance is one mile.

Parade Grand Marshal

Ronny Williams
Ronny Williams, former football coach and athletic director at Melissa High School, will serve as the parade grand marshal.


Homecoming Princess & Prince

Ellie Puckett & Cannon Dittfurth
Ellie Puckett and Cannon Dittfurth will sit in the parade as Homecoming Princess and Homecoming Prince. Ellie and Cannon are Kindergarten students at Harry McKillop Elementary.

COMMUNITY PEP RALLY

Wed, Sept. 19 @ 7:30 PM (APPROX.)

After the parade ends, walk over to Cardinal Stadium and enjoy a COMMUNITY-WIDE PEP RALLY.

 

 

CARDINALS VS. TIGERS

Thu, Sept. 20 @ 7:30 PM

RESCHEDULED TO THURSDAY DUE TO SEVERE WEATHER IN FORECAST. The Melissa Cardinals take on the Trinity Christian Cedar Hill Tigers at Cardinal Stadium. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. Homecoming recognitions will take place before the game at approximately 7:00 p.m. #REDRED

 

 

LADY CARDINALS VS. COYOTES

Fri, Sept. 21 @ 4:30 PM

Lady Cardinal Volleyball begins district play as the Lady Cards take on the Anna Coyotes at home, in the gym at Melissa Middle School. Varsity plays at 4:30 p.m with JV to follow. #REDRED

 

 

HIGH SCHOOL HOMECOMING DANCE

Sat, Sept. 22 @ 7:00 PM

The Melissa High School HOMECOMING DANCE will take place on Saturday, Sept. 22 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in the Student Union. Tickets cost $20 per student and go on sale on Monday, Sept. 10. Click here for more details.
