All Melissa Cardinals, including current students, employees, alumni, and family, are invited to join Melissa High School and Melissa ISD in celebrating Homecoming Week from Oct. 24-28, 2022. Community events will include tailgating, the Homecoming parade, an outdoor pep rally, and the Melissa High School Homecoming football game.

The Homecoming parade, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26, will feature appearances by the Melissa High School 2022 Homecoming Court, Homecoming Prince, and Homecoming Princess. Duke Sparks, Director of Athletic Operations and Community Partnerships at Melissa ISD, will lead the parade as the grand marshal. Those interested in having a float featured in Homecoming parade can register online at www.melissaisd.org/homecoming.

On Friday, Oct. 28, the Melissa Cardinals will take on the Princeton Panthers at the Melissa High School Homecoming football game, starting at 7:30 p.m. at Cardinal Stadium. Ticket sales open online at 8 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 24. Ticket pricing is $6 for adults and $4 for students; all tickets increase to $8 the day of the game. The district will air a livestream for those who can’t make it to the game.

Students in grades 6-12 will get to participate in themed dress-up days throughout Homecoming Week; Homecoming mums can be worn to school for Spirit Day on Friday, Oct. 28.
