Ms. Grant shared her gratitude and excitement, “Being nominated for the National Life Group LifeChanger of the Year is both humbling and deeply meaningful. Teaching has never felt like a job to me; it is a calling, a daily act of faith in young people, and a commitment to meet for who they are, where they are, and walk with them toward everything they are becoming. Additionally, collaborating with families and colleagues has grounded my work in trust and shared purpose. This nomination feels like an affirmation that the work we do truly matters.”

Since 2011, LifeChanger of the Year has honored over 8,500 K-12 educators and school employees from more than 2,300 districts, awarding them for their dedication and impact. Each year, the program receives nominations from across the country, recognizing those who foster positive learning environments and demonstrate exceptional leadership.

For the 2025-2026 school year, 17 awards will be given out. A selection committee of past recipients and education professionals will determine the winners, which will be announced in early 2026. To be considered for the award, nominees must exemplify leadership, professional excellence, and a commitment to student success.
