Melissa ISD Leadership Updates for the 2026-27 School Year

Melissa ISD is excited to announce these leadership updates for Melissa ISD in the 2026-2027 school year. Learn more about each of these leaders below:


Ana DeOliveira, Willow Wood Elementary Assistant Principal

Mrs. Ana DeOliveira brings 19 years of educational experience and four years in Melissa ISD to her new role as assistant principal of WWE for the 2026-2027 school year. Her most recent position was Dean of Students at WWE. Previously in Melissa ISD, she was a kindergarten teacher and was even named the WWE Teacher of the Year in 2024. Before joining Melissa ISD, Mrs. DeOliveira taught preschool, pre-k, and second grade, and worked as an educational specialist.

“What stands out most about Ana is her deep belief in our campus vision and her unwavering commitment to both staff and students. She understands the history of our school, the needs of our community, and the systems we have put in place to serve them well,” shared 2026-2027 Willow Wood Elementary Principal Julie Armstrong. “She listens carefully, communicates clearly, and follows through on commitments. Staff members seek her guidance, families trust her, and students know she cares about them.”


Jeremy Pryor, North Creek Elementary Assistant Principal

Mr. Jeremy Pryor is entering his fourth year with Melissa ISD and brings 23 years of experience in education. Prior to his new role, he was the Dean of Students at North Creek Elementary. Before that he also served as an assistant principal, instructional coach, and classroom teacher for 1st through 5th grade in Plano, McKinney, Van Alstyne, and at Sumeer Elementary.

North Creek Elementary Principal Erika Parker shared, "Mr. Pryor is a dedicated leader whose heart for our students, staff, and community is evident in every decision he makes and every relationship he builds. He fully embodies The Cardinal Way through his servant leadership, compassion, and unwavering belief in people, bringing energy and purpose to every encounter he has. Mr. Pryor's fierce commitment to excellence, integrity, and genuine care makes him a steadfast and inspiring champion for Team Melissa, and our North Creek family is truly excited for the opportunity to grow and continue chasing greatness alongside him in the years ahead.”


Precious Bale, Director of Campus Development 

We are pleased to announce that Precious Bale, Principal of Willow Wood Elementary, will transition to the role of Director of Campus Development at Melissa ISD beginning in the 2026-2027 school year. Mrs. Bale has been a dynamic leader in Melissa ISD for the past 7 years. She began her career at NCE as Assistant Principal, later stepping into her current role as Principal of WWE. As the founding principal, Mrs. Bale has been at the helm since the school’s inception, leading with a commitment to academic excellence, student-centered learning, and a thriving campus culture. 

“I am excited to step into this new role, and eager to partner with principals and teachers to continue to create powerful learning experiences that elevate instruction and leadership,” shared Mrs. Bale. “With a deep passion for professional learning, I look forward to aligning support, growth, and recognition so that great instruction and leadership thrives in the district.”

Superintendent Keith Murphy shared the significance of her impact, "Precious has been a champion for our kids as a campus principal, but now it is time to spread her gifts and talents with every campus in Melissa. Her expertise and commitment to excellence will guide and inspire educators and students alike.”
