On Monday, March 14, 2022, the Melissa Schools Board of Trustees approved an order to cancel the board election scheduled for May 7, 2022 and certify the two incumbent candidates unopposed.
The following board candidates were up for re-election in May and will continue their respective terms for another three years.

- Paul Anderson, Melissa ISD Trustee Place 7
