Student Spectator Guidelines for 2026-2027

As we come together to kick off the 2026-2027 football season and show our Cardinal spirit, we want to ensure every fan has a fun, safe, and enjoyable experience. Before heading to the stadium, Cardinal fans are encouraged to review the important Melissa ISD Student & Spectator Guidelines below, along with other tips to help you get ready for football nights at CKD Stadium.

Student-Spectator Guidelines

  • Student ID Badges: Student ID badges must be worn at all times. No ID, no entry.

  • Clear Bag Policy: CKD Stadium enforces a clear bag policy. Student backpacks are not allowed in any game-day venues. Students coming directly from school must use their lockers or arrange storage for backpacks.

  • No Loitering on the Concourse. All students must remain in their designated student sections unless they are purchasing concessions or accessing restroom facilities.

  • Designated Student Sections:

    • K-6 Grade: Students must be seated with their parents and accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. K-6 students are not permitted to sit with older siblings in the MHS or ECMS student sections.

    • ECMS: If ECMS students choose not to sit with their family, they are required to sit in the designated ECMS Student Section, located in Section 102 on the North end of the stadium. Students MUST enter through the North Entry with their student ID to access the ECMS Student Section.

    • MHS: If MHS students choose not to sit with their family, they are required to sit in the designated MHS Student Section, located in Section 109 (closest to the Mighty Cardinal Band). Students MUST enter through the South Entry with their student ID to access the MHS Student Section.

  • No Re-entry: Students will not be allowed to re-enter the stadium once they leave.

  • Themed Dress-Up Days: Students are encouraged to participate in theme dress-up days but must remain within the student dress code. No masks for safety reasons.

  • Consequences: Attendance at extracurricular activities is a privilege that can and will be revoked when expectations are not met. Students who fail to comply with these expectations may be asked to leave the stadium by MISD administration, athletic staff, or MISD Police. No ticket refunds will be provided. It’s important to remember that behavior at school extracurricular events is subject to the same expectations as during the school day.

Tickets
Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance online at www.melissaisd.org/tickets. Student tickets are $4 and adult tickets are $6. Ticket prices (online and at the gate) increase to $10 for both students and adults at 12 p.m. on game days. Tickets can be purchased at the gate with a debit or credit card only. No cash.

Tailgating
The community is invited to partake in pregame tailgating no earlier than 5:30 p.m. in the official tailgating area, located outside Coach Kenny Deel Stadium. To view the tailgating map, visit www.melissaisd.org/tailgating.

Clear Bag Policy
All fans must adhere to the Melissa ISD Clear Bag Policy. Please review the policy before arriving to ensure you are familiar with this year’s changes. A security check will be conducted at the gate upon entry, so please plan for additional time. Student backpacks are not permitted. Outside food and drinks are also not permitted inside the stadium.

Maintaining a Clean Stadium
Trash bins are located throughout the concourse. Fans are encouraged to help keep the stadium beautiful by disposing of their trash properly.

Traffic
Due to the anticipated large number of fans in attendance, the community is encouraged to carpool to the stadium to avoid traffic congestion when exiting the stadium at the conclusion of the game.

Livestream
Starting this school year, Melissa ISD Athletics is moving its livestreams to Hudl Fan. Fans can stream games on mobile devices, computers, smart TVs, and other streaming devices through the Hudl Fan app or by visiting Fan.Hudl.com/Melissa.
