Melissa ISD is now accepting applications for Become a Cardinal, the district’s out-of-district transfer program for the 2026-2027 school year.
Become a Cardinal provides opportunities for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade to apply for enrollment at Melissa ISD campuses with available capacity.
Families looking for a district rooted in core values, community connection, meaningful opportunities, and a tradition of excellence are invited to explore what it means to be part of the Cardinal Way.
Applications are processed on a rolling, first-come, first-served basis according to the timestamp of the completed application. Families interested in applying are encouraged to review eligibility requirements related to attendance, behavior, academic progress, transportation, and campus capacity prior to submitting an application.
Students entering 11th grade may also separately apply for the Melissa High School International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme.
