The Melissa Cardinal Baseball team has rescheduled the 2026 Cardinal Classic event for this Saturday, March 28 at the ECMS Football Field. This community-wide event will bring together athletes, families, and local businesses for a day of competition, fun, and Cardinal spirit.
The event will continue to feature the Redbird Rookie Experience Training Camp for students in grades K-5 (information and how to register below) and the Cardinal Classic Wiffle Ball Tournament for students in grades 6-12 along with Melissa ISD staff. Following the Redbird Rookie Experience, families are invited to stay and watch the Wiffle Ball Tournament, which will begin at 12:00 p.m.
We look forward to celebrating the next generation of Cardinals and kicking off a new tradition with our community. Rookies today. Cardinals tomorrow.

Redbird Rookie Training Camp:
8:30 a.m - Rookie Registration
9:00 a.m. - Training Camp Begins
9:30 a.m. - Rookie Skills Competition
10:30 a.m. - Awards Ceremony
Cardinal Classic:
11:00 a.m. - Team Registration
12:00 p.m. - First Pitch & Bracket Play Begins
5:00 p.m. - Tournament Concludes
