The Melissa High School Cards Inspire Cheerleading squad performed at the 2025 NCA State of Texas Regional event on Saturday, December 13, at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center in Dallas. The team competed in the exhibition division as part of their continued preparation for their upcoming state competition.
At the NCA North Texas Regionals competition last month, the team earned a score of 76.67. Following the competition, the squad and their head coach, Crystal Phillps carefully reviewed judges’ feedback and immediately began addressing areas for improvement. Through focused practices and a strong commitment to growth, the athletes worked diligently to strengthen their performance.
Their hard work paid off at this weekend’s regional event, where the Cards Inspire squad earned a perfect score of 100! This achievement places the team in a strong position as they head into the holiday break and continue preparations for the state competition in January.
