The East Cardinal Middle School and Sixth Grade Center Choirs, under the direction of Marissa Martin and Hilari Pletcher, cordially invite the community to their Fall Choir Concerts. Admission is free, and all are welcome to attend.
ECMS Fall Choir Concert - Oct. 16
The ECMS Choir Concert will be on Thursday, October 16, at East Cardinal Middle School with the beginner groups performing at 6:30 p.m. and the UIL groups performing at 7:30 p.m. This special evening of choral music will feature all five exceptional East Cardinal Middle School choirs.
Beginning the evening, the Concert Tenor-Bass Choir will be singing “Colorado Trail” by Emily Crocker and “Come Sail Away with Me” by Mark Patterson. Following that performance, the Concert Treble Choir will perform “Kyrie Canon” by Andy Beck and “Go Down, Moses” by Russell Robinson.
The performance will continue at 7:30 p.m. with the UIL groups. Leading the lineup, the Bella Voce Treble Choir will perform “Evening Song” by Christopher Rust and “Elijah Rock” by Roger Emerson. The Varsity Tenor-Bass Choir will follow performing “Goin’ Home” by Vicki Courtney and “Didn’t My Lord Deliver Daniel” by Greg Gilpin. The evening will close with the Varsity Treble Choir performing “Shoshone Love Song” by Roger Emerson and “Confitemini Domino” by Victor Johnson.
SGC Fall Choir Concert - Oct. 23
On October 23rd, the Melissa Sixth Grade Center Choirs will take the stage to showcase their hard work and musical growth this season. The evening begins at 7:00 p.m. at East Cardinal Middle School with performances by the 2nd & 5th Period Treble Choir, singing “Peaceful River” arranged by Mary Donnelly and George L.O. Strid and “The Ghost Ship” by Don Besig and Nancy Price.
The night will continue with the Tenor-Bass Choir performing “Dover Beach” by Matthew Arnold, Meredith Tompkins, and Ashley Dame and “Dragon Song” by Vicki Tucker Courtney.
The evening will then close with the 1st, 8th & 9th Period Treble Choir presenting “Alleluia” by Antonio Caldara and arranged by Vicki Tucker Courtney, and “Promise Land” by Natalie Sleeth.
Both Choir concerts will reflect the exemplary work all of the students have put into preparing these performances. Our Cardinals are excited to share their voices with family, friends, and the community. We hope to see you there for this joyful celebration of music and talents.
