The Melissa High School Theatre will be performing Hadestown: Teen Edition on May 27 and 29, 2025, at the Melissa Arts Center. The performance on Tuesday, May 27, will begin at 7 p.m. There will be two performances on Thursday, May 29, beginning at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Inspired by Greek mythology, this unique musical tells the story of Orpheus and Eurydice as they navigate love, loss, and the harsh world of the underworld. Set in a gritty, industrial landscape with a vibrant folk and jazz-inspired score, the show follows Orpheus as he sets out to rescue Eurydice from the depths of Hadestown. With heartfelt songs, moving characters, and a story full of hope and heartbreak, this reimagined tale will keep you captivated from beginning to end.
