Melissa High School students competed in the District Academic UIL competition, coming home with 22 Regional Qualifiers! Students excelled in a variety of individual and team academic contests, with students advancing to the Regional competition in the following categories: Social Studies, Spelling, Computer Applications, Computer Science, Informative Speaking, LD Debate, Persuasive Speaking, Poetry Interpretation, Prose Interpretation, Headline Writing, and Journalism.
The Regional Academic UIL competition will be held at the University of Texas at Arlington on April 26-27, 2024.
