Two Melissa High School powerlifters competed at the Texas High School Powerlifting Association State Meet on March 22, 2024, after securing their spots at the area meet earlier in the month. Owen Hollenbeck, a Junior, made his mark at state, placing 4th in his respective weight class. Jake Brown, also a Junior, took 11th place in a very competitive weight class.
