Congratulations to the five members of the Melissa High School Boys Powerlifting Team for their incredible performances at the Texas High School Powerlifting Association’s (THSPA) Regional Meet. The boys competed at the Regional Meet on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Keller Central High School. Of the five boys that competed, two were medalists in their respective weight class, with two qualifying for state.
Jake Brown earned a silver medal in his weight class, placing second in his weight class and Owen Hollenbeck earned the gold medal as Regional Champion in his weight class. Brown and Hollenbeck will compete at the Texas High School Powerlifting Association’s State Meet on Friday, March 22 at the Taylor County Expo Center in Abilene, TX.
