The Melissa Cardinals take on Lovejoy in the final varsity district game of the season this Thursday, Nov. 2 at Coach Kenny Deel Stadium. This matchup was chosen by CW33 as the Game of the Week and will be broadcast live on CW33’s High School Football Showdown to potentially three million viewers in the DFW area. The pregame show will start at 7 p.m. with kickoff at 7:35 p.m.
Fans who plan to attend the game are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance online at www.melissaisd.org/tickets. Tickets are $4 for students and $6 for adults. All tickets increase to $8 at noon on Thursday, Nov. 2. Cardinal fans can also watch and listen to the Melissa ISD and Melissa Cardinals Network livestream at www.melissaisd.org/livestreaming.
Additionally, Melissa High School students who are part of the Future Health Professionals group, HOSA, are hosting a Toys for Tots toy drive at the game. The group is inviting fans to show their Cardinal spirit by bringing a new, unwrapped toy to the game and dropping it in one of the collection boxes located at the entrances to Coach Kenny Deel Stadium. All toys collected will be given to children in the North Texas area.
