Melissa ISD students and their families are invited to “travel around the world” at Multicultural Night from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Willow Wood Elementary.
Multicultural Night will feature information, artifacts, decorations, food samples, and entertainment representing 23 different countries researched by Willow Wood Elementary students.
Families will receive their own passport at the door and can get the passport stamped by visiting the different countries located in classrooms across the campus. Families that complete their passport with all 23 stamps will have the chance to win a Cardinal spirit basket valued at $200.
Entertainment will include a fashion show by Melissa families, a presentation on Indigenous cultures, and performances by the Shannon O’Ragan Irish Dance Company and Nritya Dance Academy. Three food trucks will be available for those interested in making a purchase: Empanadas Encanto, Texas Snow & Concessions, and Frio's Pops.
