Eligibility

Melissa ISD students who reside outside of the two-mile radius of their school or reside within the two-mile radius without a walkable path are eligible to receive bus transportation provided by Melissa Schools. The Melissa ISD interactive zoning map can be used to determine an estimated distance, walking pathway, and/or driving route between a student’s residence and their school. To access the zoning map, visit www.melissaisd.org/zoning.

Registration

In order for an eligible student to receive bus transportation, a parent or guardian must review the Transportation Handbook and complete the registration process.

Request Bus Transportation Service:

Bus transportation services are requested during the New Student and Returning Student Enrollment and Registration process for eligible students. If you requested bus services during student registration, no further action is necessary.

Transportation Routes

Transportation routes, including bus stop location and time, are managed through My Ride K-12 app. Bus routes for registered students will be viewable in My Ride K-12 app one week prior to the first day of school.

In order to access your student's route information, you must register for an account using your child's student ID number. If you were previously using Ride 360, your existing usernames and passwords from Ride 360 will carry over into My Ride K-12.
