Professional Development & Staff Training

This page outlines training requirements and supplemental professional development opportunities for Melissa ISD employees for the 2022-2023 school year. It is the responsibility of the employee to attend/view the required trainings assigned to them, and if applicable, pass the training assessment to earn a certificate of completion.

All required trainings must be completed by Sept. 9, 2022 unless otherwise stated.

R10 Summer Roadshow in Melissa
June 14-15, 2022 at Melissa High School

The R10 Summer Roadshow in Melissa will offer a variety of training opportunities open to all district employees, facilitated by Region 10 ESC.

  • Training sessions are scheduled at Melissa High School throughout the day on Tuesday, June 14 and Wednesday, June 15. If a training is full or you are otherwise unable to attend, you can also visit the Region 10 Calendar of Events and you will find other training locations across North Texas.

  • Focus areas include: core subjects, CTE, digital learning, effective teaching and practices, assessment and accountability, TRS, early childhood, special populations, and more.

  • A laptop and earbuds are required for each session.

  • Make sure to register using your Melissa ISD email address in order to have any fees waived.
