New Student Enrollment

Melissa ISD serves students who live within the school district’s attendance zone. Your child must live in Melissa ISD to attend Melissa Schools. Click here to learn more.

To register your child at Melissa Schools, please read and complete the steps outlined below.

  • Step 1: Complete the online enrollment forms.

  • Step 2: Gather the required documents.

  • Step 3: Finalize the process in person. Contact the campus registrar to request an appointment to complete the enrollment process.

Step 1: Complete Online Forms

How do I begin online enrollment?
Please print the Online Enrollment at a Glance document and watch the video tutorial below – these resources will guide you through the online enrollment process.

I’ve already finished the online forms, but I need to make a change to my information.
If you have submitted the forms to the district, the campus registrar will update your information during your enrollment appointment. Once the student has been enrolled in our district and the student has been added to your portal account, parents can update information such as: contact information, phone numbers, and address throughout the year utilizing txConnect Parent Portal.

Step 2: Gather Required Documents

A parent or guardian must present the following documents in order to complete the enrollment process:

  • Certified Copy of Birth Certificate

  • Social Security Card (At the parent’s request, a State ID Number can be issued in lieu of providing the social security number.)

  • Immunization Records

  • Proof of Residency

    • If you cannot yet produce a current utility bill, but have a contract of sale or lease agreement in a home in the Melissa school district, you must complete an out-of-district transfer request. Please contact Lisa Lakey at the Melissa Schools Home Office for more information:

  • Last Report Card / Unofficial Transcript (for high school students only)

  • Driver’s License of Enrolling Parent

Step 3: Finalize the Enrollment Process

Parents and guardians can finalize the New Student Enrollment process during an appointment with the campus registrar. Parents and guardians of Kindergarten students also have the option of finalizing enrollment during Kindergarten Round-Up in May.
