Melissa High School junior Eddie Zeng is headed to the UIL 5A Boys Singles State Tennis Tournament after an outstanding performance at Regionals. Eddie secured a 3rd place finish, earning his spot at State, which will take place May 15-16 in San Antonio.
Eddie showed tremendous resilience in his final match at the Regional Tournament. After losing the first set 1–6, he staged a remarkable comeback to win the next two sets 6–4, 6–2. His determination and grit on the court earned him a hard-fought victory and a well-deserved trip to State.
"I’m so proud of Eddie and the way he’s competed all season,” said Coach Logan Daniell, “He’s worked hard, stayed focused, and really earned this shot at state. We can’t wait to see him out there in San Antonio.”
We are incredibly proud of Eddie and excited to cheer him on as he represents Melissa High School on the state court.
