The Mighty Cardinal Band has advanced to the UIL Area B 5A Marching Contest on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at our very own Coach Kenny Deel Stadium! Led by Director of Bands Kevin McNulty, the band earned straight Division I ratings at the UIL Region 25 Marching Contest on Wednesday, with all three judges awarding the highest possible rating.
The band will take the field at 2 p.m. this Saturday. We encourage Cardinal families and community members to come out, show their support, and cheer on our talented students as they compete at Area!
Tickets are $9 per person and can be purchased at www.melissaisd.org/band-area. Best of luck to the Mighty Cardinal Band!
