The Melissa High School One-Act Play is advancing to the District Contest after competing in the Zone OAP Contest on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, with their production of Peter and the Starcatcher by Rick Elice. The District Contest will be this Saturday, March 7, at Denison High School, where they will take the stage at 12:45 p.m.
“Working on Peter and the Starcatcher with this group of students has been such a joy,” shared MHS Theatre Director Megan Moore. “This production demands an incredible amount of energy, precision, and attention to detail from the cast and crew, and these students are doing some truly impressive theatrical work. We are so proud of them and can’t wait for District!”
In addition to the team’s success, several MHS OAP students received individual awards recognizing their talent and dedication. Congratulations to these students and their directors on this achievement! Melissa ISD wishes you the best at District. Go Cardinals!
