Melissa ISD invites the community to join a special celebration at halftime of the final varsity home football game of the district season against the Denison Yellow Jackets on Friday, Nov. 7.
The spotlight will shine on the Melissa High School Softball team, the reigning 2025 State Champions. This outstanding group of athletes not only secured back-to-back state titles but also finished the season ranked number one in the nation. Their remarkable journey was defined by teamwork, perseverance, and excellence, highlighted by Head Coach Cassie Crabtree being named National Coach of the Year.
During this celebration, the players will be presented with their championship rings in front of the community that supported them every step of the way. It will be a proud moment to honor their accomplishments and celebrate a season that will be remembered for years to come.
