Cullen Scott Feature

Cullen Scott, a sophomore at Melissa High School, earned a major victory for both his community and his country as a member of the USA Baseball 15U National Team. He helped lead Team USA to a gold medal at the 2025 WBSC U15 Pan American Championship, proudly representing Melissa ISD and the United States with exceptional skill.

The championship, held September 13-18 in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, brought together some of the top young athletes from across the Americas. Cullen was one of only 20 players selected to the national roster, competing at Estadio Juárez Vive against elite international teams.

After three decisive wins, Team USA advanced to the final against Mexico where they dominated the field 10–0 in the championship game to claim the title.

When reflecting on his experience with the team, Cullen shared, “Hearing my name called after the trials in Cary was unbelievable. It wasn’t until that moment that I realized just how much it meant to me. Putting on the USA jersey for the first time is something I’ll never forget. Seeing the medallion bag tag with the names of players who wore number 25 before me was incredible, a reminder of the legacy I now get to be part of. Making friends, working with great coaches, and bringing home a gold medal is something I will remember forever.”

Melissa High School Baseball Coach Josh Bobbitt expressed his pride in Cullen’s achievement, “Cullen is a very special talent that I am extremely proud to have in our Melissa Baseball Program. He has a work ethic that is second to none. Can't wait to see what the future holds for this young phenom!"

Melissa ISD is proud of Cullen’s remarkable achievement, which reflects the hard work, dedication, and excellence that define the Cardinal Way and inspire fellow students to pursue their goals at the highest level.
