The Melissa High School Theatre will be performing Ernest and the Pale Moon on October 16-18, with a special Halloween performance on Friday, Oct. 31, at the Melissa Arts Center. The performances on Oct. 16-18 will begin at 7:30 p.m., and the one on Oct. 31 will begin at 9:30 p.m.
Step into a dark, gothic world with Ernest and the Pale Moon, a noir-horror musical based on a short story by Oliver Lansley and inspired by the works of Edgar Allan Poe and Alfred Hitchcock. The story follows Ernest, a man whose obsession with his neighbor, Gwendoline, takes a chilling turn into madness and murder. With a dreamlike atmosphere, minimal use of light and color, and haunting sound effects, the production immerses audiences in Ernest’s spiraling descent into insanity.
Note: Due to its suspenseful nature, Ernest and the Pale Moon is recommended for ages 13 and up.
Tickets are available now for $10.00 a person at http://www.melissaisd.org/theatre.
