As the 2023-2024 school year comes to a close, I want to send reminders about important information and special events happening in the coming weeks. Thank you for partnering with us to finish strong and celebrate our Cardinals’ hard work this school year.
Cardinal Field Day - May 24, 2024
Melissa High School Field Day will be held on Friday, May 24, with events scheduled at the Championship Center, gym, and practice field. This is an optional end-of-the-year event designed for our student body to have some fun competing against each other. Students are invited to play, watch, or both! Events will begin at noon.
Award Ceremonies - May 28-29, 2024
Student recognitions will be awarded during the school day in the Melissa Arts Center. The event is by invitation only. All students receiving a class award, as well as their parents/guardians, will be notified prior to the ceremony.
Freshman & Sophomore Awards Ceremony | Tuesday, May 28 at 12:30 p.m.
Junior & Senior Awards Ceremony | Wednesday, May 29 at 12:30 p.m.
Semester Exams - May 24-30, 2024
Spring semester exams will be taken the last week of the school year, May 24-30 for all 9th - 11th grade students. Students may qualify for an exemption of up to three exams (depending on grade level). Completed exemption forms and release from school permission forms will be given to students May 16-17 and are due May 22 and both require parent signatures. Last Day of School - May 30, 2024 *Date Change for MHS Only
Due to graduation in the evening and staff responsibilities at the event, Melissa High School students will not have school on May 31. The last day of school for all high school students will be May 30. This applies to Melissa High School ONLY.
Graduation & Senior Activities - May 31, 2024
The commencement ceremony for the Melissa High School Senior Class of 2024 will be held at 8 p.m. on Friday, May 31 at Coach Kenny Deel Stadium. Doors will open to the public at 7 p.m. and the ceremony will begin promptly at 8 p.m. There is no limit to the number of family members and friends who can attend, and tickets are not required.
