At the January school board meeting, the Melissa ISD Board of Trustees endorsed Melinda Keen and Dr. Tommy Shiflett to serve as the next principals of Melissa Middle School and the Melissa Sixth Grade Center, respectively, as Marcus Eckert and William Daniel have been selected for other principal roles within the district. The Melissa High School competitive cheerleading team is headed to state! The community is invited to attend the Cheerleading State Sendoff at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2023 in the high school gym to watch a public performance of the state competition routine. Admission is free.
