Melissa ISD is excited to announce these leadership updates for Melissa ISD in the 2026-2027 school year. Learn more about each of these leaders below:
Michelle Moore, Melissa Sixth Grade Center Assistant Principal
Mrs. Michelle Moore brings 15 years of educational experience and three years in Melissa ISD to her new role as Assistant Principal of the Melissa Sixth Grade Center for the 2026-2027 school year. Her most recent position was Dean of Students at SGC. Prior to that in Melissa ISD, she was an English teacher at Melissa High School. Before MISD, Mrs. Moore worked as an administrative intern, English classroom teacher (Academic, Advanced, and AP), team lead, EBL teacher, head cheerleading coach, assistant cheer coach at Illinois State University, and student council lead sponsor in Illinois, Florida, and Texas, including Frisco ISD and Richardson ISD.
SGC Principal David Moliere shared, “In Melissa ISD, we aim to hire leaders who blend the heart of a servant with the mind of a visionary and innovator; this is Mrs. Moore. Simply put, Mrs. Moore loves children and the adults who pour into them. She doesn’t view our campus as a system to manage; for her, it is a community to uplift. She believes in the potential of every child and teacher, and has hope towards how this potential will shape the future.”
Laleh Olateju, Cardinal Renaissance Academy Assistant Principal
Mrs. Laleh Olateju is entering her eighth year with Melissa ISD and brings 14 years of experience in education. Prior to her new role, she was the Dean of Students at Highland Elementary and Harry McKillop Elementary. Before that she also served as an instructional coach, intervention specialist for grades K-5, testing coordinator, and teacher for grades 2nd-5th in Melissa, McKinney, and Dallas ISDs.
Cardinal Renaissance Academy Principal Angie Slicker shared, “Laleh has a servant heart and unwavering commitment to our students and staff. She leads with compassion, understanding, and incredible knowledge. Laleh's previous experience and expertise with IB will help CRA shine! I cannot wait to see and be part of the amazing things she accomplishes in this new adventure.”
