Tree Plenish

The Melissa High School Environmental Club is currently involved in a community service project focused on planting 3000 trees in the yards of residents and local businesses. The club has teamed up with the non-profit organization, Tree-Plenish, aiming to plant enough trees throughout the community to aid in offsetting carbon emissions.

Residents and businesses interested in participating can purchase saplings, or young trees, from now until March 27, 2024. Each sapling costs $5; options include your choice of American Sycamore, Eastern Redbud, or Red Maple varieties.

Those who opt to buy trees can also choose to have them planted in their yards during the tree planting event on April 27, which will be conducted by members of the Environmental Club along with volunteers.

Sponsorship opportunities are also open for those interested. To buy a tree or to learn more about sponsorship options, please visit https://tpevents.org/school/4205.
