Congratulations to Brenden Dimmig, the speech and debate coach at Melissa High School, for being named the 2024 LBJ District Coach of the Year by the National Speech and Debate Association. This award celebrates Mr. Dimmig for his strong dedication, passion, and commitment to his students and the wider debate community, earning him recognition from his peers.
Kyle Brenner, the MHS Technical Theatre teacher who works closely with Mr. Dimmig, praised his achievement by saying, “His tireless efforts in the classroom and beyond have truly made a difference in the lives of his students and the school community as a whole.
