We are excited to celebrate Multicultural Day on Monday, May 4! This event will take place during the school day and is designed for students to explore and experience cultures from around the world in a fun and meaningful way.
Students will enjoy a variety of engaging activities, including food sampling, art, and activities. We are also thrilled to welcome a Kathak Rhythm performance and a student fashion show facilitated by the Melissa High School Fashion Design class. To enhance the experience, each grade level will research a country and learn more about its traditions, customs, and culture.
We are looking for parent volunteers to help make this event a success! If you are interested in participating in the fashion show with traditional garments, entertainment, preparing a cultural dish, or helping with the event in another way, please sign up at www.melissaisd.org/multiculturalday. All volunteers must have a MISD background check on file.
Additionally, if your child is interested in participating in the fashion show by dressing in cultural attire, please complete the Student Permission Form. More information about the fashion show can be found on the form.
Thank you for helping us create a memorable experience for our students that celebrates culture, creativity, and community!
