The Melissa ISD academic calendar for the 2026-2027 school year, as recommended by the District Site-Based Decision Committee, has been approved by the Melissa Schools Board of Trustees.
Each year, the calendar is re-evaluated and adjusted depending on the dates of certain national holidays, state testing days, graduation dates, and Collin College instruction schedules, as well as required professional learning days for teachers.
The District Site-Based Decision Committee, made up of teachers, administrators, parents, and community members, carefully creates the calendar after taking these parameters and numerous other needs and suggestions into consideration.
