Get ready for something new on the menu! Beginning Wednesday, October 14, 2026, Aramark, the district’s food service provider, will be rolling out new menu items and exciting dining options across all Melissa ISD campuses.
Inspired by parent and student feedback, these updates bring more variety, more ways to customize meals, and more options to satisfy different tastes. Survey responses helped guide the menu relaunch, giving families a voice in shaping the dining experience and reinforcing Aramark’s commitment to offering meals and options students are excited to enjoy.
More Choices on Elementary Menus
Elementary students will have even more to choose from at breakfast and lunch! Yogurt parfaits are coming to the breakfast menu in response to feedback from last month’s Food Service Survey. At lunch, students can look forward to more daily entrée options, along with a greater variety of fruits and vegetables.
The number of daily entrée choices will increase from one or two to three or four, giving students more opportunities to discover new favorites and enjoy a little more variety throughout the week.
Build Your Own Meal or Try Something New
Secondary students can bring their own flavor to lunchtime with Tortilla, a new dining concept featuring customizable favorites like build-your-own nachos and taco salads. Students can choose their favorite toppings, mix and match ingredients, and create a meal that’s uniquely yours!
Looking to try something different? The Test Kitchen is designed to encourage students to explore new foods and flavors. The Test Kitchen will add a new option to its current rotating lineup of weekly entrées, introducing a Mediterranean Bowl, an addition inspired by feedback from the Food Service Survey. It’s another opportunity for students to step outside their usual favorites and discover something new!
Fresh Picks and New Options at the MHS Food Hall
Melissa High School students and staff can look forward to fresh additions at the Food Hall, where the menu will feature fresh, convenient options for a variety of tastes. New offerings include made-to-order salads and wraps, snack packs, and a new Bento box. Whether you’re looking for a fresh lunch, a quick bite between classes, or something convenient to take on the go, there will be more options to explore.
Breakfast on the Go? The MHS Food Truck Has You Covered!
In a hurry to get to class? Starting October 14, the MHS Food Truck will be open for breakfast Monday - Friday! Students can grab hot coffee and a breakfast taco from 6:45-7:15 a.m., making it easier to pick up breakfast and start the day ready to go.
