MYP Representative

Melissa ISD is proud to announce that Eydie Simpson, the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) Coordinator, has been selected to represent the MYP on the Board of the Texas Association of IB Schools (TIBS). This recognition reflects her meaningful contributions to IB education and her commitment to building strong, student-centered MYP programs.

Board positions within TIBS are filled through an election process. In this role, Simpson will participate in statewide board meetings that support IB programmes, collaborate with IB leaders across Texas to strengthen program quality and consistency, and represent the needs and perspectives of MYP schools.

Serving on the TIBS Board will create new opportunities for Melissa ISD to stay closely connected to statewide IB planning and initiatives. Through this work, she will bring back best practices and guidance that enhance program alignment, support teacher growth, and enrich the overall student experience.

“This is an opportunity to advocate for meaningful, high-quality learning experiences for all IB MYP students in Texas,” shared Simpson.“ I look forward to continuing to build a strong, student-centered MYP programme that prepares learners to think and act with purpose.”

Congratulations to Mrs. Simpson on this outstanding achievement and for representing Melissa ISD at the state level. Her leadership and dedication continue to strengthen the MYP experience for our students, and this new role further highlights the impact of her work across our district. We are proud to celebrate this accomplishment and look forward to the continued growth and opportunities it will bring to our MYP community.
