Social Distancing & Face Coverings Required at Homecoming Events
As required at school and at school-sanctioned activities, face coverings and social distancing will be required at all Homecoming events. Please do not attend any Homecoming events if you are experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19 or if you are known to have had possible exposure to COVID-19. Thank you for your cooperation.
Note: Tailgating is not permitted this year.
The parade begins at 6:30 p.m. The community is invited to watch the parade all along the parade route, including near Melissa City Hall. The parade will begin at the intersection of Cardinal Dr. and Harrison St., continue northeast on Cardinal, turn right onto Surrey, right onto Barker, right onto Scott, left onto Cardinal, and end at the intersection of Cardinal and Haskell.
Due to conditions surrounding COVID-19, the tossing of candy or other items to spectators is strictly prohibited during the Melissa Homecoming Parade.
Businesses, organizations, and clubs are invited to register a float for the parade. Registration is free and must be completed online no later than Tuesday, Oct. 12 at noon. The registration form is linked below.
This year’s parade theme is “Beat the Coyotes!”. Prizes will be awarded to the top three best-decorated floats.
