Melissa High School’s Choir program has 17 students advancing to the second round of the Texas Music Educators Association’s (TMEA) All-State Choir audition process.
Approximately 20,000 students from across Texas begin the All-State Choir audition process each September, participating in multiple rounds of auditions as they pursue a place in an All-Region or All-State Choir. By January, approximately 2% of the students who begin the process will be named Texas All-State Choir members, making it a significant accomplishment for these Cardinals to advance to the second round.
The students will continue their All-State journey on October 6 at Princeton High School, where they will compete in Round 2 of the audition process.
