Melissa High School Choir students earned recognition at the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Region Auditions earlier this month at Princeton High School with four students selected for the 9th/10th Grade Honor Choir and two advancing to the Pre-Area round.
Sophomore Coltyn Barnard was selected for the Tenor-Bass Choir, and junior Robin Davis earned a place in the Mixed Choir. Both Coltyn and Robin will advance to the Pre-Area round of auditions in November at Plano Senior High School, marking the first time in Melissa High School history that choir students have reached this level in classification 5A!
Sophomore Shekinah Baldovino, freshman Demilade Omiyale, sophomore Navya Patil, and sophomore Sadie Williams were selected for the 9th/10th Grade Honor Choir.
Congratulations to these outstanding students for their hard work and for representing Melissa ISD with pride and excellence.
