Melissa High School is proud to announce the beginning of a new tradition, the Fifth Quarter Showcase, making its debut at the last home football game of the district season on Friday, November 7. Following the game, the spotlight will shine on the Melissa High School Mighty Cardinal Marching Band, Ruby Belles Drill Team, and the Melissa High School Cheer squad as they take the field for a special postgame performance.
The Fifth Quarter Showcase will highlight the talents of the Melissa High School Mighty Cardinal Marching Band, Ruby Belles Drill Team, and the Melissa High School Cheer squad, as they take the field for their final home performance. For the first time, these groups will be featured in their own postgame event, with the football team and fans filling the stands to cheer them on. Just as the band and drill team support the Cardinals on the field, this is an opportunity for the players to return that support and celebrate the students who bring so much energy and spirit to Friday nights. It will also serve as a meaningful farewell moment for the senior class, marking their last time to perform under the Friday night lights at Coach Kenny Deel Stadium.
This exciting new tradition highlights the incredible talent and dedication of our programs and creates a moment where the entire community can come together. The Fifth Quarter Showcase will be more than just a performance; it will be a celebration of teamwork, school spirit, and the bonds that make Melissa special.
Melissa High School invites all families, friends, and community members to stay after the game and be part of the inaugural Fifth Quarter Showcase. Together, we’ll be creating a tradition that will continue to grow and shine for years to come.
