Melissa Homecoming Week is just around the corner, September 15-20, 2025. We invite the community and all Cardinals to join in the fun! The festivities kick off Monday with themed dress-up days, followed by the Homecoming Parade and Community Pep Rally on Wednesday.
Themed Dress-Up Days: All MISD students will have the chance to participate in themed dress-up days throughout Homecoming Week. Students who wish to wear a Homecoming mum to school may do so on Cardinal Spirit Friday, Sept. 19, as long as the mum aligns with the school dress code. Students should follow the Melissa ISD Dress code for Homecoming Week themed dress-up days.
Homecoming Parade: The annual Homecoming parade will kick off the celebration on Wednesday, September 17, at 6:30 p.m. with tailgating starting at 5:00 p.m. The parade will follow a route that wraps around Coach Kenny Deel Stadium. With over 50 floats, the parade and pep rally are sure to be filled with lots of Cardinal spirit! Float participants will be allowed to walk alongside their float and hand out candy or other Cardinal spirit items. Homecoming Football Game: The week wraps up with the Melissa Homecoming football game against the Frisco Liberty Redhawks on Friday, September 19. The game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. at Coach Kenny Deel Stadium with a “Red Out” theme.Ticket sales open online at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, September 12 at www.melissaisd.org/tickets. Early bird pricing is $6 for adults and $4 for students. Ticket prices increase to $10 at 3:00 p.m. on the day of the game. A livestream of the game will also be available at www.melissaisd.org/livestream.
