Coach Nate Hemsley currently serves as the Defensive Coordinator for football and the Head Boys Track & Field Coach at Melissa, bringing over two decades of teaching and coaching experience to his role. Over the past 21 years, Coach Hemsley has passionately dedicated himself to teaching and coaching, spending the last seven years at Melissa.

Graduating from Delran High School in New Jersey, he earned a football scholarship to Syracuse University before playing in the NFL for five seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, Miami Dolphins, and Carolina Panthers. He has garnered numerous highlights throughout his career, fostering the growth and success of his students both in the classroom and on the field.

Outside of teaching and coaching, Hemsley enjoys cheering on the Cardinals alongside his wife and three children—a daughter aged 22, a son aged 7, and a daughter aged 3.
