The third nine weeks grading period at Melissa Schools ended on Friday, March 27, 2020. Quarterly report cards will become available this week. Each school’s Remote Instructional Support Plan has been updated to reflect grading practices during the fourth nine weeks of school. In addition, Melissa ISD will not be administering STAAR testing this spring. See below for additional details.
Melissa ISD will not administer Spring 2020 STAAR testing. The Texas Education Agency (TEA) announced on Monday, March 16, 2020 that Governor Greg Abbott has waived the STAAR testing requirement to allow schools to focus on public health while investing in the capacity to support remote student learning.
Third nine weeks report cards will be available by the end of the day on Friday, April 3, 2020.
Each school’s Remote Instructional Support Plan has been updated to include information on grading practices during the fourth nine weeks of the 2019-2020 school year. In general, standard grading practices will be followed.
