Fun Facts:

  • My associate’s degree is in Theatre, but my bachelors is in Middle School Mathematics.
  • I am married with two wonderful children and we just built and moved into our first home!
  • I am a huge San Antonio Spurs Fan, Go Spurs Go!

When and why did you decide that you wanted to become a teacher?

I decided I wanted to be a teacher in college. I had been tutoring other students in algebra and I loved working with them, watching them finally understand the concepts, and I have always loved math. Several of my professors helped me make the transition from theatre to math.

What is your favorite lesson to teach?

I really enjoy teaching probability. I believe these lessons can be super fun for the students while they are learning at the same time.

What is your favorite Core Value and why?

Honesty is my favorite Core Value because I believe we need to tell the truth in all situations, and that students need to own their mistakes so they can learn from them.

What is the best thing about being a Cardinal?

I really enjoy how the community and the district strive to take care of each other and our students. I also love how the middle school campus feels like a family.
