Journalism: Yearbook & Newspaper

The Legacy Yearbook sales will open to seniors only from April 29 – May 3, and to everyone else the following week, from May 6-16.

Yearbooks will be on sale for $65 and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Yearbook forms are available in the front office. Yearbook distribution day is scheduled for Friday, May 17 in the library during mega lunch.

Pre-Order A Yearbook

Deadline: Feb. 1, 2019

Melissa High School students can pre-order a yearbook online through Feb. 1, 2019 at Yearbooks cost $65 each. To guarantee that you receive a yearbook, pre-order online no later than Feb. 1. There will be minimal buying opportunities after the books arrive in the spring.

Senior Ads

Deadline: Feb. 1, 2019

Senior yearbook ads can be purchased through the Balfour website. Ads are designed by the yearbook staff.

Ad content, including pictures and messages, should be emailed to Abby Kusano, Legacy Yearbook Advertising and Sales Manager, at Pictures must be a high resolution 300 PPI; photos taken on cell phones might not work. Once pictures and message are submitted, a proof of the ad will be sent back for a final check.

The yearbook ad sizes and price points are listed below.

  • 1/8 Page Ad = $50
  • 1/4 Page Ad = $100
  • 1/2 Page Ad = $150
  • Full Page Ad = $200

Senior Quotes

Deadline: Feb. 1, 2019

Seniors may submit a quote for inclusion in the yearbook. Seniors should have received a senior quote form in their English class; however, the form can also be downloaded below.

Senior Photos

In order to appear in the 2018-19 school yearbook, Melissa High School seniors must schedule their senior photo session with Prestige Portraits for no later than Oct. 30, 2018. Click here for more information.

Note: There is not a choice between cap and gown or a drape or tux for senior yearbook portraits. Parents should only pick their choice of photo in tux for boys or drape for girls. If parents wish to purchase a photo of their senior in a cap and gown, that is an option.
