Food & Technology Needs – Request Assistance

Please complete the form linked below if your family needs assistance outside of what Melissa ISD can provide remotely during the coronavirus pandemic. Such needs may include: no internet access at home, no access to computer or mobile device, and limited or no meal access. Your information will remain confidential in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

New Student Enrollment

If you need to enroll a new student at Melissa Schools during the remote instruction period, please visit our New Student Enrollment page to begin. You will be required to complete enrollment online, provide proof of residency, and finalize enrollment via email with the campus registrar.

How to Stay Connected During Remote Instruction

  1. Website Overview: This web page will be regularly updated to outline the latest health-related updates at Melissa Schools, district plans, resources for our families, and frequently asked questions and answers.
  2. Parent Contact Information: If you are a parent or guardian of a Melissa ISD student, please log in to Parent Portal and make sure that your contact information is up-to-date, so that you will receive district- and school-wide communications through Remind. Please double-check your email address and phone number, in particular. You may also download the Remind app and update your notification settings to manage how you receive alerts from Melissa Schools. Click here to learn more about how Remind is used at Melisa Schools.
  3. Email Communication: As we begin remote instructional support at Melissa Schools, our staff members will be working from home and can be reached directly by email. Email is the primary means of communication at this time, as all district buildings and offices will be closed. In some cases, teachers may also communicate with families through Remind. If you need to locate an email address, visit our Staff Directory.
  4. Follow the District Online: Please follow Melissa ISD and your student’s school on social media (namely on Facebook and Twitter) and routinely visit the district website at for the latest information related to Melissa Schools.


The practice of social distancing encourages individuals to stay home in self-isolation for an extended period of time to help prevent or lessen the spread of a highly contagious disease such as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).

In addition, please partner with Melissa ISD in routinely reinforcing the following preventative practices in your family household, and if you choose to go out in public or travel, as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

  • Wash hands often with soap and water, for at least 20 seconds.
  • Wash hands after certain activities, including after bathroom breaks and before eating, and after coughing, sneezing, or blowing the nose.
  • Cover a cough or sneeze with a tissue and then properly dispose of it, or cover with the crook of your arm.
  • Keep hands away from the eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Stay home if sick, except to get medical care.
  • Avoid close contact with others who are sick.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
