Precious Bale has been selected to serve as the principal of Willow Wood Elementary, the newest elementary campus in Melissa ISD expected to open in time for the 2021-2022 school year.
Since 2019 and continuing through the spring, Mrs. Bale has served as the assistant principal to Michele Austin at North Creek Elementary. She earned her master’s degree from Texas Woman’s University and came to Melissa Schools with more than 10 years of service in education, having served as an elementary teacher and administrator.
Mrs. Bale received a unanimous recommendation by the interview committee last week and was endorsed by the Melissa Schools Board of Trustees at the Oct. 19 school board meeting.
“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve Melissa ISD as the principal of Willow Wood Elementary,” shared Mrs. Bale. “I am honored to work in a district whose core values reflect my personal creed. I’m incredibly thankful that the district has entrusted me to open this campus and continue the district’s tradition of excellence.”
Deputy Superintendent Kim Boedeker added, “I am thrilled that Mrs. Bale will be sitting at the helm of our new campus, Willow Wood Elementary. From day one as a Melissa Cardinal, Mrs. Bale has been gracious and willing to do whatever it takes to do what is best for students, teachers, and parents. It is a joy to watch her lead and serve others.”
Beginning with the 2021-2022 school year, Willow Wood Elementary, North Creek Elementary, and Harry McKillop Elementary will follow the standard K-5 grade configuration and the Melissa Ridge Education Center will become an early childhood education center.
Melissa ISD is currently in the process of evaluating options for the new assistant principal of North Creek Elementary.
