Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) is a one-time food benefit for families who lost access to free or reduced-price meals due to school closures. This afternoon Melissa ISD will send P-EBT information and application instructions to families. Families may also click on the link below to access the information.
The P-EBT application opens the first week of June 2020. Melissa ISD will share the application when it becomes available.
P-EBT food benefits are for children who received SNAP food benefits for March 2020 and Melissa ISD students in 5th grade or below who are certified for free or reduced-price school meals during the 2019-20 Texas school year.
This information and more can be accessed from the Texas Health and Human Services website at hhs.texas.gov/PEBT. Please contact your child’s school if you would like to receive a paper copy with information regarding P-EBT.
