Amy Feagin

Amy Feagin has been appointed to serve on the Melissa Schools Board of Trustees, filling the Place 6 vacancy formerly held by Bruce Minchey for nine years.

Mrs. Feagin was appointed to the Board of Trustees at a special meeting on June 14, 2021, and will serve the remainder of the current Place 6 term through May 2022.

Feagin shared, “I am so honored to have been asked to step in for the remainder of Bruce’s current term. His many years on the Board are reflective of his love of MISD and he will be greatly missed. I’m excited about the opportunity to serve alongside the administration to support our students, faculty, and staff in any way that I can.”

Bruce Minchey, who also served as the Board Vice President for a number of years, first announced his plans to step down from the Board of Trustees in March and spoke again of his decision in May at the Melissa High School Class of 2021 graduation ceremony.

Superintendent Keith Murphy shared, “It has been a pleasure to work with Bruce Minchey over the last several years. Bruce has served the students and families of Melissa with a tremendously high standard of care. I am looking forward to working with Amy.”
